028 Naomi Stanhaus: Retirement Security--Be Wise

In this episode, Catherine, Gail and Naomi discuss Naomi’s long-term advocacy to improve the quality of life for older people, especially low-income women and minorities. Naomi has moved from being a grant-seeker to advising on grant making,  in her current position as consultant to The Retirement Research Foundation. Among the priorities of this “little gem in aging” are support for care-givers and economic security in later life. Naomi provides sobering statistics about women’s economic preparedness as we age. She offers an optimistic outlook that includes numerous and often untapped resources for aging women.  Married for 48 years and now working part-time, Naomi is pleased with the balance in her life.

"There are always more resources for aging women to bolster their financial security." - Naomi Stanhaus

Take-Aways:
